Thanks for the visit! Drake Well Museum is gearing up for the 2009 celebration of the 150th anniversary of Edwin Drake’s successful drilling for oil and launching of the modern petroleum industry. Glad you liked McClintock Oil Well #1, too. Hope you make it to Pithole City – oil’s vanished boomtown 1865. It’s open Saturday and Sunday until Labor Day.
