This is definitely a Central PA thing. . . I went to York College and that’s the only place I EVER heard of fastnachts.

Yum!! Geez, I can hear my arteries thickening up just saying it out loud.
I went to the grocery store today and I took my last Burger King buy 1 Whopper get 1 free coupon with me. I didn’t use it. Damn!!! i know what I’m having tomorrow for lunch..

That reminds me of the XL Bacon Double Cheeseburger With Extra Cheese I had in Burger King the other day.

They should rename it The Edible Heart Attack.

Fastnachts aren’t very good, in my opinion. They are kinda’ like the driest, most dull, thickest and heaviest doughnut you have ever eaten. Then you add 10x sugar and Maple syrup and you could go into diabetic shock. Oh, yeah, they are about 10,000,000 calories each. You can feel your arteries hardening up as you eat one. I like the idea of parades, beads, dancing, feasting and drinking to celebrate the beginning of Lent.
